Hullspeed lets you estimate the resistance and power requirements for any Maxsurf design using industry standard prediction techniques.
Calculation methods provided in Hullspeed include: Savitsky pre and post planing; Lahtiharju for planing vessels; Holtrop for fast displacement hulls; Series 60 for large ships; van Oortmerssen for full form hulls such as tugs and trawlers; and Delft systematic yacht series for sailing yachts.

Prefit provides a range of tools to assist in creating a Maxsurf design to match an existing lines plan or table of offsets.
When you need to create a Maxsurf design to match an existing hull shape, Prefit provides a range of spline and surface fittings tools to make the fitting process faster and more accurate.
Data points can come from any source and can be typed in, read from a text file, or imported via DXF. If only a small number of offsets are available, Prefit lets you enrich the data prior to fitting.
A built-in offsets editor lets you review and modify the offsets table prior to fitting. Offsets can also be pasted to and from spreadsheets to allow you to sort or modify the data. Additional offsets can be added, or unwanted offsets removed, at any time.

Prefit Features

Import existing offsets files
User controlled curve fitting
Automated surface fairing
Preview fitted shapes
Successive surface refinement
Displays accuracy of fit

Span provides sailing performance analysis for yachts in a variety of sailing conditions and produces performance polar curves to show predicted speeds.
Using calculation methods similar to the original IMS Velocity Performance Prediction Program, Span solves the equations for lift and drag for hull and rig and finds an equilibrium velocity and angle of heel. Span's calculations operate through a variety of true wind angles and speed and calculate with both spinnaker up and spinnaker down.

Span Features

Interactive interface Polar performance curve output
Automated hull measuring Upright resistance
Tabular and graphical results IMS based VPP

ACC Rule is a measurement and rating program for Americas Cup Class Yachts

ACC Rule Features

Automated hull measuring
Tabular and graphical results

Hydrolink provides industry standard data exchange between a range of modeling, performance, prediction and hydrostatics programs.
Although the Maxsurf range provides a complete suite of design and analysis tools, there may be occasions when you need to transfer data to and from other systems. Hydrolink provides a range of data translation options which allow you to move models both to and from Maxsurf and other programs.
The Maxsurf modeling module provides import and export of DXF and IGES files. Hydrolink's data exchange options compliment this, with capabilities to read and write files of NURB surfaces and to w rite offsets files in a format compatible with a number of hydrostatics and VPP programs.

Hydrolink Features

Supports a wide variety of hydrostatics programs
Preview exported data points on-screen
Automatically adjusts for different units and coordinate systems
